Wilson 010

Wilson Station opened on March 31, 1978 as part of the Yonge line extension into North York, serving a primarily residential area with a mix of mid-rise apartments and local businesses. The station is also a key transfer point for commuters connecting to buses serving surrounding neighbourhoods and regional routes, making it a hub for riders heading into the city.

Wilson is one of the most decorated stations in the TTC, featuring murals, sculptures, and other art installations throughout the concourse and platform areas. Designed in the practical style of late-1970s TTC construction, it combines wide platforms and clear sightlines with these artistic elements, creating a visually engaging space for daily commuters. Above ground, the station sits adjacent to bus loops and parking areas, providing a functional yet lively gateway for the northern stretch of the line.
