Finch West 008

Finch West Station opened on December 17, 2017 as the northwestern terminus of Line 1, bringing subway service directly into the Jane and Finch area. The station has a strong visual presence at track level, with tall reflective walls that amplify the sense of space, and painted windows near the exits that filter light into the station in a way that feels intentional and almost gallery-like. Surrounded by high-rise apartments, community spaces, and bus connections, the station is constantly in motion and clearly designed to handle heavy daily use.

The station took on an even more important role on December 7, 2025, when the Finch West LRT opened with Finch West Station as its eastern terminus. The modern architecture, wide platforms, and generous circulation areas support this layered transit function, making it an efficient and well-connected hub.
